The AFL Grand Final is an Australian rules football match to determine the premiers for the Australian Football League (AFL) season. The AFL Grand Final will be held on Saturday 24th September 2022.  The preceding action happens at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne, Australia, to determine the Australian Football League (AFL) premiers for that year. Last year was the first time in the events’ 123-year history that the event was held outside Melbourne, at an alternative ground, on a different date. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 Grand Final was held on October 24th at Brisbane Cricket Ground (otherwise known as GABBA). However, in 2022, the event is returning to its home ground and original timeslot.
